Responsibilities

Provides administrative and executive support for the Vice-President, Associate Vice-Presidents, and Assistant Vice-Presidents for the Division of Student Affairs. Manages the calendars and schedules of OVPSA suite executives. Interacts with both internal and external FSU constituents and consults to coordinate a variety of complex Division of Student Affairs (DSA) meetings ensuring confidentiality.

Recommends and assists in the development of communications from the Vice President. Prepares and reviews for accuracy, sensitivity, and consistency with administrative policy. This includes communication with staff, faculty, senior administrators, board members, parents, students, and community members.

Functions as the principal assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Prepares the Vice-President's agendas and organizes materials for meetings. Organizes and compiles reports and documents for easy reference and retrieval by the VPSA.

Serves as trouble shooter and liaison for the VPSA. Responsible for managing the VPs complex travel arrangements, associated documentation, and expense reports. Travel includes professional development speaking engagements, board-required travel, and fundraising.

Responsible for scheduling Student Affairs Leadership Team meetings, sending out meeting invitations, preparing meeting agenda, recording meeting minutes. Responsible for meeting coordination of task force, committees, and councils developed to support DSA initiatives.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

* Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

* Knowledge of academic resources available to students.

* Knowledge of the principles and practices of event planning and ability to coordinate, organize and evaluate meetings and/or events.

* Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of management.

* Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision.

* Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and etiquette.
