Atlantic Physical Therapy is seeking an individual to join our team as an Exercise Specialist in our Virginia Beach location. Members of our care team in this position work closely with our Physical Therapists to help us deliver exceptional care. The particular focus of this position is exercise instruction and supervision in our spacious and well-equipped facility. The Exercise Specialists assist patients in individualized therapeutic exercise programs to stretch tight muscles, restore motion to stiff joints, and strengthen muscles weakened by injury and/or surgery.
Our Exercise Specialists must have good communication skills and typically have a background in exercise and sports. Many of our Exercise Specialists are working toward or have completed degrees in related fields such as Exercise Science or Kinesiology. Many of our Exercise Specialists have used this position to gain acceptance into professional programs on their journey to becoming licensed Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Physician Assistants.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available. We have a wide range of service hours that allows us to accommodate the individual needs of our clinical staff and work around schedules for those still taking classes.
