Position Summary
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) has provided state funding for afterschool and summer school enrichment programs for transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. “Expanded learning” means before school, after school, summer, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. It is the intent of the Legislature that expanded learning programs are pupil-centered, results-driven, include community partners, and complement learning activities in the regular school day and school year.
The Expanded Learning Program Director will lead the school's effort to provide high-quality expanded programming for our school beyond the traditional school day. Reporting directly to the School Leaders, and working closely with the Regional Associate Director of Expanded Learning, the ELO-P Director will be responsible for leading and expanding the regular school day curriculum into the expanded day and year; including the development of community partnerships, alignment of systems and operations, and with required enrollment composition and fiscal compliance.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Physical: Ability to navigate school and classroom settings. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs. Physical agility to move self in various positions in order to execute duties effectively, which may include kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, turning, bending, stooping and reaching overhead.
Mental: Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, read, calculate, perform routine math problems, memorize and recall objects and people.
Environmental: School and classroom environment subject to constant interruptions and distractions. Adhere to KIPP's health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC, CDE, and public health agencies' recommendations.
Classification
This is a full-time, exempt position on a full year calendar cycle, based on the regional calendar and time-off policy.

We benchmark annually against school districts and charter schools in the regions where we operate, to offer competitive salaries. The salary range for this position is $92,200- $102,224.
