Job Title: ExpediterJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Expediter to join our dynamic team in the aerospace field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of materials, facilitating supplier communications, and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to make decisions under pressure, and excellent supplier management capabilities.
Responsibilities
+ Communicate and follow up with suppliers to support on-time delivery for manufacturing, engine assembly, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO), and facility needs.
+ Problem solve and make decisions to support hardware disposition and expediting to achieve on-time delivery.
+ Handle supplier requests for quotations (RFQ) and negotiate to award business based on the best possible quality, cost, and delivery terms.
+ Collaborate with Engineering (HGPU) and suppliers to accomplish process improvement goals in support of on-time delivery.
+ Work with internal and external customers to support process changes and other project-related items.
+ Provide support to team members to ensure processes are understood and followed.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience.
+ Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage supplier relationships and work in teams to build consensus.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Good negotiation and analytical skills.
+ Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in aerospace.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with procurement, logistics, and supplier management.
+ Knowledge of SAP.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to travel as required for the role.
