Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled by either expediting or de-expediting the delivery date of end assembly parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contact suppliers via open order report to expedite or de-expedite orders based on customer requirements.
- Enter open order report results from suppliers in the ERP system in a timely manner.
- Enter ASN shipment status in the ERP system in a timely manner for reference by internal customers.
- Maintain appropriate expediting documentation and emails.
- Communicate/escalate issues to appropriate Purchasing Agent or Manager.
- Other job activities as assigned.
Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Strong organizational skills with an effective follow-up system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Word (basic) and Excel (intermediate) with efficient and accurate typing ability
- Experience with an MRP system is preferred
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
