Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and timely flow of materials, parts, and finished goods throughout our production process. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to on-time delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production schedules and coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve issues that could delay production.
  • Track the progress of parts and assemblies through the manufacturing process, addressing bottlenecks promptly.
  • Liaise with suppliers to expedite delivery of critical components or materials.
  • Manage and prioritize internal requests for parts or tools to keep production moving.
  • Update and maintain records in our ERP system regarding inventory, material availability, and order statuses.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments including purchasing, engineering, quality assurance and leadership to facilitate problem-solving.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in an expeditor, production control, engineering or similar role within manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination across departments.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions quickly.
  • High school diploma required
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations, or IS 9001, is advantageous.
