Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as aExpeditor/Material Coordinatorto join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and expediting the movement of materials and supplies throughout the organization. The primary goal will be to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in accordance with the company's quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with various departments to determine material and supply needs
Monitor inventory levels and anticipate any shortages or excesses
Place orders for materials based on demand and inventory levels
Track and expedite the delivery of materials from suppliers
Inspect incoming materials to ensure quality and accuracy
Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of material transactions and update inventory systems
Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors
Continuously improve processes related to material management and inventory control
Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies while performing duties

Bachelor-s degree, or
Associate-s degree with two (2) years of related experience, or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of related experience is required.
Must have demonstrated experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are mandatory.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Higher education attainment than listed acceptable per internal level identifiers of accompanying years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Proven experience as an Expeditor, Material Coordinator, or experience in a similar role
Proficient in using inventory management software and tools
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in material management
Previous WIPP experience

Minimum salary $56,888 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate-s relevant experience and education.
