The company is currentlyin the midst of a dramatic expansion, driven by significant enhancements to its platforms and offerings, with the goal ofbecoming the preeminent destination for luxury internationally.Role Summary:The Expense Payables Associate supports Expense (non-merchandise) payables to ensure all daily / monthly / quarterly functionsare completed accurately and on time within company policy. The incumbent will be responsible for handling transactions andreconciliations to the offshore AP Expense Payables team as part of their daily responsibilities.Key Qualifications:Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):• Bachelor's degree, with business or accounting background preferred• Experience within Accounts Payable function in a large company• Strong analytical and reporting skills• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.• Exposure to AP systems and technology, preferably Workday or similar systems• Required to have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills• Superior communications skills, both written and oral.• Demonstrated understanding and acceptance for responsibility of confidentiality.• Strong organizational / time management skills/problem solving skills• A proven ability to build strong business relationships beyond the finance team, as well as ability to effectively manage theneeds of multiple stakeholder groups.• Strong customer service focus.• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously• Experience with accounting monthly and quarterly close process within the AP functionPreferred Qualifications (nice to haves):• Experience in the retail industry preferredRole Description:Day to Day Duties:• Provide support and direction to expense managers throughout the company pertaining to the payment of expense invoicesand helping to resolve any escalated issues or invoices / payments requiring expedited treatment.• Provide Workday support to users for creation of invoice and supplier records.• Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payments or invoices• Provide remittance upon request• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies• Verify weekly tech invoices for payment• Assist with the annual 1099 tax preparation• Protect the assets of the company by ensuring that policies and procedures pertaining to the approvals and vendordeductions are clearly defined and communicated and are followed by associates.• Provide input on Policies and Procedures related to ExpenseSupport Period-end close activities for the Expense Payables team:• Support the external and internal audit process as required• Assist with projects and ad hoc requests as neededReporting / Analysis of non-Merchandise spend:• Generate payment reporting for business partners• Perform daily audit of processed invoicesYour Life and Career at Saks:• Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities• A culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balance• Benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).• An amazing employee discountThank you for your interest in Saks.
