The incumbent will be responsible for handling transactions and reconciliations to the offshore AP Expense Payables team as part of their daily responsibilities.Key Qualifications:Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):ââ  Bachelor's degree, with business or accounting background preferredââ  Experience within Accounts Payable function in a large companyââ  Strong analytical and reporting skillsââ  A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.ââ  Exposure to AP systems and technology, preferably Workday or similar systemsââ  Required to have intermediate Microsoft Excel skillsââ  Superior communications skills, both written and oral.ââ  Demonstrated understanding and acceptance for responsibility of confidentiality.ââ  Strong organizational / time management skills/problem solving skillsââ  A proven ability to build strong business relationships beyond the finance team, as well as ability to effectively manage the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.ââ  Strong customer service focus.ââ  Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyââ  Experience with accounting monthly and quarterly close process within the AP functionPreferred Qualifications (nice to haves):ââ  Experience in the retail industry preferredRole Description:Day to Day Duties:ââ  Provide support and direction to expense managers throughout the company pertaining to the payment of expense invoices and helping to resolve any escalated issues or invoices / payments requiring expedited treatment.ââ  Provide Workday support to users for creation of invoice and supplier records.ââ  Communicate with vendors to resolve any issues related to payments or invoicesââ  Provide remittance upon requestââ  Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesââ  Verify weekly tech invoices for paymentââ  Assist with the annual 1099 tax preparationââ  Protect the assets of the company by ensuring that policies and procedures pertaining to the approvals and vendor deductions are clearly defined and communicated and are followed by associates.ââ  Provide input on Policies and Procedures related to ExpenseSupport Period-end close activities for the Expense Payables team:ââ  Support the external and internal audit process as requiredââ  Assist with projects and ad hoc requests as neededReporting / Analysis of non-Merchandise spend:ââ  Generate payment reporting for business partnersââ  Perform daily audit of processed invoicesYour Life and Career at Saks:ââ  Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunitiesââ  A culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balanceââ  Benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental).ââ  An amazing employee discountThank you for your interest in Saks.
