Lonza Pharma & Biotech is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Analytical Chemist in our Bend, OR location. Our analytical chemists apply their expertise in chemistry and GMP to assist in dosage form development, clinical trials, and commercial manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct testing for the release and sampling of raw materials, finished products, and intermediates with strict adherence to quality standards.
* Perform flawless basic laboratory operations to ensure smooth workflow and detailed results.
* Operate and maintain sophisticated analytical instrumentation to determine the properties of various substances.
* Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods to support our ambitious research and production goals.
* Maintain meticulous notebook documentation and review to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
* Write, review, and approve methods, protocols, validations, summaries, and SOPs with a focus on world-class standards.
* Prepare and approve test notes, analytical test reports, and certificates of analysis.
* Explore and detail analytical laboratory investigations and deviations.
* Sample and test cleaning samples to ensure a strictly controlled laboratory environment.
Key Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
* Relevant laboratory experience in a related field is preferred.
* GMP experience is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in HPLC, Karl Fisher, dissolution, and other related lab technologies is preferred.
* Ability to work 4/10 shifts, either Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat, with occasional weekend or additional hours as needed.
