Job Description: This role is exempt from minimum wage and/or overtime.

  • A successful Experienced E.I.T/Graduate Engineer will exercise sound decision making while taking initiative and responsibility of project workloads.
  • Efficient time management, active listening capabilities and a problem-solving attitude are necessary along with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Candidates must have graduated with their BSCE and be able to work as part of a team, with the ability to multi-task.

*Applicants should have experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, and Municipal related GIS websites. *

Qualifications

  • B.S in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T Accredited School. (At least 2 years of experience in land development) *if you are interested or have done school projects in this field, we would still love to talk to you*
  • Working knowledge of computer assisted engineering and design software such as: AutoCAD, Civil-3D, KYPIPE, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, etc.
  • Ability to supplement designs, calculations, and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals.
  • Basic computer software skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, et.) Adobe Acrobat or PDF Exchange, and Blue Beam.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (including but not limited to):

  • Maintain accurate files and organization of all contracts
  • Perform engineering tasks under the supervision of a Project Manager. (E.I.T is encouraged to solve engineering problems using experience, judgment and education but is expected to ask for assistance when needed.)
  • Utilize design and drafting software to create engineering documents
  • Attend site visits as needed through design and construction
  • Develop the ability to prepare a full set of construction documents for supervisor to review, with limited supervision
  • Attend client meetings for assigned projects and develop relationships with the clients and design team
  • Attend review meetings with client, consultants, and/or city staff and become familiar with plan coordination processes
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications for projects
  • Research/review code and permitting requirements for projects as directed
