The Physician Assistant (PA) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Unity and UMMC provides expert clinical care for critically ill patients. The PA will work in collaboration with ICU physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care. This role focuses on patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions, along with continuous monitoring of patient progress in a high-acuity environment.STATUS: Full-timeLOCATION: Unity; UMMCDEPARTMENT: Critical Care/MICUSCHEDULE: Evenings/NightsRESPONSIBILITIES/ATTRIBUTES
- Minimum at least 3 years of ICU experience as a PA preferred. Hospital Medicine experience will be considered.
- Rotating weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Mentor and educate ICU nursing staff, APPs, residents, and medical students.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
