Our team members also enjoy exclusive benefits, such as:* FREE Downtown Team Member Parking* Discounted Monthly Bus Passes* Free Team Member Assistance Program* Team Member Discounted Hotel Room Rates* Fun and Free Team Member Events* Discount Program within Caesars Partner Network* Tuition & Student Loan Debt Repayment Assistance* First Time Homebuyer Program* Child Care Assistance Program* 401k MatchingPAY: $18.00/hourlyJOB SUMMARY: The experienced Pizza Maker is responsible for preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats, and executing customers' orders considering special requests.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:* Skilled in dough mixing and hand-stretching* Able to work quickly while under pressure and should be knowledgeable about state and local health regulations that apply to restaurants.* Monitor, maintain, and clean the working area and cooking surfaces to make pizzas.* Maintain and operate all large-volume cooking equipment such as grills and deep fryers.* Prepare all raw materials required for cooking such as cutting all vegetables and preparing the dough.* Make fresh tomato, pesto, and white cream sauces* Wash and chop vegetables (for example, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms)* Cut, slice, and grill meats like chicken, ham, and beef* Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed* Monitor and ensure exact measurement of all ingredients for all food items.* Prepares and stores pizza dough* Prepares pizza sauces* Trains other cooks in the preparation process so all meals are uniform* Checks the quality of pizzas before they're served to guests* Keeps a positive professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and guests at all times.* Notify the Supervisor regarding levels of food supplies, inventory, and other materials as needed.* Acts in accordance with company policies, restaurant specifications, and food/beverage regulations.* Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.* Demonstrates Harrah's Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, Provides a Warm Farewell.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* High school diploma or GED required.* Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques.* Local Health Department sanitation certificate.* 3+ years prior experience as a Pizza Maker or similar role in a restaurant* Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza dough* Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and brick or stone oven* Understanding of food hygiene* Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and eveningsThe above is a minimal description of duties and responsibilities.
