Partners with business leaders and technology teammates to develop and enhance Data analytics, Business Intelligence, Dashboards, Datasets and Data flows based in PowerBI. Works closely with manager, enterprise data team and business analysts to design and implement efficient solutions for transforming operational data from disparate data sources into business insights. Has experience and skill of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for data aggregation; application development; controlled testing and release mechanisms. Essential Functions for this role include:
- Establishes systematic transformation, publishing, and orchestration processes to keep dashboards relevant.
- Employs state of the business visualizations to effectively portray insights via the data.
- Design, develop, and test new/enhanced PowerBI Datasets, Data Flows, and dashboards according to established standards.
- Explore complex data schemas to develop data transformation and loading scripts.
- Research new technologies and solutions to improve Business Analytics applications.
- Develop test plans for new and existing applications.
- Work with supervisor to plan, prioritize and schedule concurrent projects and tracks and reports status.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the internal and external customers.
- Provide production support for existing applications, including 24 x 7 support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
- BA/BS or equivalent expereince
- 7+ years of broad software development related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the business analytics development, specifically with PowerBI, Python and other tools.
- 5+ years developing solutions within Financial Services and Asset Management businesses.
- Uses logic and proven methods to solve difficult problems.
- Learns quickly when faced with new problems and/or challenges.
- The ability to communicate and work in a team environment is critical.
- Mentor others in systems development.
- Extensive experience developing DAX queries, PowerBI datasets and Reports.
- Experience in utilizing a broad set of data visualizations to effectively convey business intelligence and insights.
- Skilled in data modeling data transformation using DAX queries, automating data transformation and dataset refreshes via data gateways on a scheduled basis.
