We are currently seeking an Exploration Driller for our Ferris, TX plant on Day shift. What you will get:

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- Operate drill rigs and support equipment
- Log, document, and collect soil and rock samples
- Supervise assistant drillers and provide task training when needed
- Perform equipment inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs and maintenance on equipment
- Transport and haul equipment and supplies to job sites
- Order parts and supplies
- Perform workplace examinations and ensure safety compliance on job sites
- Coordinate with exploration and plant management to complete project objectives
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and communicate clearly with Arcosa staff, contractors, landowners, etc...
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-years' experience operating drill equipment
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months of hire
- Ability to travel and occasionally work on/through weekends
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, and lift weights up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 ft high
- Ability to work in various outdoor conditions
Preferred Certifications and Skills:
- 2 years of experience operating auger, diamond core, or sonic drill rigs
- Utilize drilling machinery, such as drill rigs, to bore holes into the earth's surface within designated quarry areas and ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of drilling equipment to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Class A or B CDL
- Heavy Equipment Operation
- Mechanical Experience
- First Aid/CPR
- MSHA Certification
- Welding and Fabrication
- Working Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
