Expo
The Expo is responsible for accurately passing customer orders to the kitchen staff. He/she must inspect the quality and correct presentation of all food leaving the line. The Expo assembles food quickly and according to recipes, and also notifies runners/servers of the appropriate table that the food belongs to. The Expo ensures a fast and smooth flow of work between the servers and the kitchen.
Responsibilities
* Follow ticket orders to ensure food is being produced up to standard
* Prepare recipes and plate food correctly to guarantee correct presentation
* Maintain cooking line and expo area is clean, sanitary, and safe at all times
* Stock and replenish any items missing from the line

* Strong communication skills with servers and kitchen staff

* Efficiently multitask in a fast paced restaurant setting

* Basic math and written communication skills
Working Conditions
* Stand for the entirety of a scheduled shift
* Withstand hot kitchen environment for the duration of the shift
* Must be able to carry and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
* This position is made up of many repetitive motions: movement of the wrists, hands, and fingers
Education/Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
* 2 or 4 year culinary degree preferred, but not required.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food service/hospitality field
* Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations
