  • BA/BFA, or MFA in stage design, theater production, or related field, with significant professional experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and skill in the operation of standard equipment in a scene shop and fabrication space.
  • Knowledge of safety and maintenance protocols associated with scene shop tools and machinery.
  • Experience with budgeting.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience instructing and/or supervising students.

  • Produce design elements for the Fall and Spring Theater Productions
  • Organize and lead students in the execution of ALL design elements of Theater productions
  • Train students in theatrical construction and other technical techniques through production assignments
  • Assign students to run crews
  • Produce design elements for the Spring Musical
  • Work with directors to select other designers for the productions - either students or outside hires
  • Maintain the scene shop, Fabrication Lab, and other work areas; maintain equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Oversee related budgets
  • Work with Dean of CAHSS to propose major venue maintenance projects
  • Teach one (3) credit course in a technical theater field
  • Assist in running live events in the Frank Center and Marinoff Theaters at the request of the Theater Operations Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
