  • TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
  • SALARY RANGE: $2,000 per school year
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Possesses a West Virginia Teaching Certificate
    • Five Years of teaching experience
    • Successful experience of fostering student growth
    • Must be able to demonstrate organizational and leadership skills
    • Must be strong in classroom management and curriculum development
    • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: School Principal
  • GOAL:
    • Develop and assist with implementation of a math content mentoring program for Pendleton County Schools, to include working with math teachers to improve student learning.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Serve as a mentor to math teachers to effect change regarding the Implementation of Thinking Classroom strategies intended to improve student learning.
    • Model instructional strategies for a Thinking Classroom and provide guidance and support to math teachers.
    • Use technology to present, communicate, organize, and present Thinking Classrooms.
    • Mentor within math classrooms
    • Assist with the selection of supplemental materials.
    • Assist and mentor math teachers with planning and implementation of curriculum through Thinking Classrooms.
    • Organize/coordinate/integrate math content and instructional strategies for the Thinking Classroom in math.
    • Assess skills and needs (both internally and ongoing) of teachers and students within a school setting for the purpose of determining professional development and strategy needs to bring about student achievement and gains.
    • Prepares lesson plans, in collaboration with teachers for the purpose of differentiating instruction and adhering to guides and district curriculum.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
