Summary:

University of Illinois Springfield is seeking an extra help administrative employee. In this role, the employee will gain experience in several administrative areas including: communication, marketing/PR, game day events, and student-athlete excellence. UIS is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and NCAA Division II and sponsors fifteen sports and has 240+ student-athletes participating in the various programs. This is a donor funded position and available for only one year.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Communication - will work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications to support the promotion and coverage of UIS athletics across various platforms, including email, social media, and other digital channels. Game-day Operations - work in partnership with the Assistant AD for Operations on planning, executing, and overseeing operations for home athletic events. Game-day Promotions - work in partnership with the Sr. Associate AD to support sponsorship fulfillment and create engaging events to enhance the experience of all stakeholders. Special events - will serve as point person for events including Night of Stars award banquet and National Girls & Women in Sports Day initiative. Other duties as assigned that may include donor recognition and support, corporate sponsorships and ticket packaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

one (1) year experience in a college of university athletic office (undergraduate or

postgraduate)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must possess strong interpersonal communication, organizational,

problem-solving and decision-making skills that produce results in a fast-paced team

environment
