Summary of Job Duties:
The Extra Help/ ESPN Camera Operator will assist with operating the camera and other duties as assigned. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* High School diploma.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for operating the camera equipment;
* Collaborate and work closely with the producer and the team;
* Responsible for operating various camera support equipment.
* Monitor technical aspects of the camera equipment during shoots;
* Must follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the team and themselves;
* Responsible for the maintenance and organization of camera equipment;
* Collaborating with the technical crews;
* Ensure that all equipment is tested and maintained before filming begins;
* Resolve technical and practical problems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Must be able to work home events as needed;
* Must be able to work weekend and late nights;
* Must be professional and punctual;
* Must respond quickly to directions;
* Need strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other crew members;
* Able to coordinate with camera assistants, grips, and other departments to ensure smooth camera movements and efficient workflow.
