Extrusion Helper
Position Summary: Set-up, process, and operate the equipment for production runs.
Role qualifications:
- Experience in sheet extrusion systems, or other plastics processing equipment.
- Experience with materials such as polyesters and synthetic polymers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work safely at all times, comply with all Personal Protection Equipment guidelines
- Sheet Line operators perform necessary changeovers, process checks, and quality checks to safely produce extruded plastic sheet
- Responsible for recording all process parameters during production run
- Assists with basic Maintenance tasks as assigned
- Completes 5S tasks and checklists as assigned
- Employee may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong mechanical skills
- Able to work independently through entire process
- Read, write, and communicate in English
- Communicate via verbal and written technical information like pressures, temperatures, dimensions, materials, and other specifications
- Maintain basic set of tools: tape measure, utility knife, safety shoes, flashlight, etc.
- Read a micrometer, tape measure, and other instruments
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Read and understand written Standardized Work Instruction Sheets
- Possess current AZP forklift certification, or be willing to attend training
- 12-hour shift 08:00 to 20:00 or 20:00 to 08:00, typical production week is 4 days per week with overtime scheduled as required
Monday - Thursday
8am to 8pm, with OT on Friday as needed.
$24.50/hr
