You would Support Caregivers and Protect Patients!Job SummaryThis advanced manufacturing position is able to operate all cast film extrusion line and a single layer blown film extrusion line on a constant basis, consistently meeting production requirements on a continuous basis. The position ensures proper procedures are followed and work is productive, safe, and efficient. This position is capable of actively solving problems and making process improvements with limited support. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :SafetyResponsible for safely operating multiple machines and equipmentCapable of participating on safety teams and proactively identifies hazards while offering suggestions to correct themWears PPE as required QualityPerforms quality checks and quality testing of all products as outlined in departmental quality control on inspection procedures and be able to recognize product outside the specified toleranceResponsible for completing device history record (DHR), label verification, and daily checklist paperworkCompletes required training on timeReads and understands product specifications Continuous ImprovementResponsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area at all times according to 6S.Proactively improves processes and submits improvement ideas ProductivityPowered industrial truck certifiedSafely performs operator duties on all blown line and cast line extrusion equipment to produce product within specification limits.Safely performs operator duties on ancillary extrusion equipment to support production in the extrusion work center. Including material delivery systems such as rail cars and silos.Completes extrusion machine preventative maintenance tasksMeets production output requirements consistentlyPerform other job duties as required LeadershipLeads with humility, encourages individual development, and mentors other employeesSuccessful completion of training certificationAbility to train operatorsCapable of back-filling Extrusion Lead OperatorDemonstrate and actively support TIDI Products Core Values and Guiding PrinciplesAbility to work within and offer suggestion to improve lean management systems to drive positive change.QUALIFICATIONS:•High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; •Forklift Certified •3-5 years Extrusion experienceLanguage Skills•Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English.•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. •Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Mathematical Skills•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.•Able to read a tape measure•Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
