Pries Enterprises is looking for a saw help to add to the team on our extrusion press! The hours are 6am-4pm, 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am Monday-Friday. Pay starting at minimum $19 plus a shift differential for off shifts.
Position Summary: Assist in the operation of stacking equipment from the cold saws. Verify part lengths meet order expectations. Conduct piece counts to ensure numbers matches customer orders. Assess material for defects and pull scrap as needed. Back up saw operator for breaks and lunch. Work to meet customer needs and achieve company goals. Understand and follow instructions. Work well with others, detail oriented, accepts additional responsibility,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Receive instructions and work orders for the job from machine operator, or Team Leader.
- Examine products for defects, such as deep scratches, bent material, bow, dents, die lines, and flatness
- Report identified defects to Team Leader
- Pull all scrap material for recycling process and band full bundles
- Align parts as needed down the run out table for proper cutting processes
- Refill spacer carts and be sure spacers are aligned for proper machine operation
- Stack product based on production specs, pack codes, and notes, to prevent shifting/damage and meet customer requirements. Report any discrepancies to machine operator and/or Team Leader.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to Team Leader and or Safety Department.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
