DEPARTMENT: Extrusion 2nd shiftsJOB TITLE: Systems Operator BREPORT TO: Shift Supervisor with directions from a Team LeaderSHIFT NIGHTS/HOURS:2nd Shift position: (1:00 p.m.- 9:00 pm.) Monday - Friday over a course of 5 days (40+ hours) per week. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems. As a Systems Operator B, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our company's manufacturing.Systems Operators B will be responsible for setting the press up, selecting dies, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting problems.What You Will Be Responsible For:* Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the extrusion press* Promptly communicates to supervisor any issues concerning health, safety, quality, and efficiencies* Responsible for the in-process inspection/verification of parts during extrusion* Monitor and maintain good physical condition of extrusion press and handling equipment* Meet the quality standards required by customer specifications* Responsible for inspecting parts after the stretching operation* Follow company procedures and policies* Responsible to ensure right alloys are running for correct process* Read and understand shop orders* Read and understand calipers, micrometers, and tape measures* Read and understand prints* Run the press and meet all press requirements* Must be able to read a go- and no-go gauge to check material after it has been aged* Must fill out check sheets for any moving equipment before it is used* Operate an electric cart and overhead crane* Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leaderWork Environment/ Physical Demands:* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear* The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
