Job DetailsJob LocationF35 TSS BURLINGTON - South Burlington, VTPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelBachelor's degree or Relative ExperTravel PercentageMinimalJob ShiftAnyF-35 Simulator Technician, Burlington ANGBJob Description: The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.The Simulator Technician also:
  • Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices
  • Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
  • Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
  • Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
  • Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations
  • Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization
  • Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends
  • Work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation
  • Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team
QualificationsDesired Skills:
  • Security Plus certificate will be REQUIRED
  • Technical Report writing
  • Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation
  • Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level
  • Military fighter aircraft experience
  • Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
  • Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience
Suggested Minimum Requirements: Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.Security Clearance Requirements: This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance.
  • Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years
  • Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Must be a US citizen
