A global industry leader in industrial manufacturing & services is seeking an experience Fabrication Material Coordinator & Buyer who to oversee complex material flow and e2e procurement processes. This newly created position will be instrumental in propelling fabrication category success on a global scale!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end supply chain management for fabricated equipment, including purchase orders, supplier relationship management, inventory, and logistics compliance
- Implement best practices targeting efficient purchasing, inventory control, logistics, and transportation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on risk identification;
- Collaborate with engineering and field operations on drawings and design - ensuring these are met to production requirements
- Identify areas of process improvements and supply chain optimization
- Main point of contact for global fabrication suppliers
- Utilizing data and analytics to inform procurement decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Skills & Experience Required:
- Associate degree OR minimum 4+ Years related experience
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Purchasing various third-party product categories and equipment as required, ideally direct experience with third-party fabricators.
- Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Travel domestically/internationally as needed - up to 25% travel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly to all levels of the organization.
