This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Fabrication Operations Supervisor. This role is onsite at our Tulsa, OK location.
The Fabrication Operations Supervisor Weekend is responsible for overseeing manufacturing or production activities during the weekend shift. This position ensures that production goals are met, safety standards are followed, and any issues that arise are addressed efficiently in the fabrication area.
Work schedule: 12 hour shifts
5am to 5:30pm
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Your responsibilities will include
* Oversee Production Operations: Supervise production teams working during the weekend shifts to ensure that production targets are met. Monitor the flow of materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure smooth operations.
* Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: Conduct safety checks and ensure that workers are properly trained and equipped. Address any safety concerns that arise during the shift.
* Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Work with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is running smoothly. Resolve any production bottlenecks or delays to minimize downtime.
* Staff Management: Supervise and support production workers, ensuring that they are following best practices and maintaining productivity. Handle any personnel issues, such as conflicts or performance concerns.
* Maintain Quality Control: Inspect production output regularly and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Reporting and Documentation: Maintain production logs and report any production issues or incidents to management.
Ensure that production data is accurately recorded for tracking purposes.
Prepare shift reports to inform upper management about the status of production, any issues, and progress toward goals
* Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with maintenance, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure that production runs smoothly.
Ensure that raw materials are available and that finished products are prepared for shipping.
Minimum requirements
* Highschool Diploma or GED
* 2+ years of experience in Fabrication Manufacturing with a focus on steel stamping press and machinery operations
* 1+ years of people leadership experience
Preferred skills and experiences
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
* Experience with Cost improvement by using O.E.E and WCM methodology
* Familiar with OSHA 511
* Experience working with Hard presses, Conveyor systems, Robotics material handling, Deep draw steel stamping.
* Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing
