Summary of the Position:

The Fabrication Shop Manager evaluates and assists with equipment improvements, maintenance needs and projects regarding production and packaging equipment for all facilities. The Fabrication Shop Manager provides building support needs and daily supervision of the Fabrication shop including training, and evaluations.

Supervises fabrication shop employees including daily supervision, training, and evaluation.

Evaluates production equipment and related systems and workflows along with Continuous Improvement Manager. Proposes changes to Director of Engineering, and upon approval, fabricates and implements to increase efficiencies.

Manages project labor during building phase including coordination of fabrication and maintenance employees involved in new projects and retrofits.

Prepares fabrication & installation portion of project schedules, monitors relevant project costs and works with Project Manager(s) to provide summaries for VP of Engineering.

Works with vendors in sourcing fabrication shop supplies and related equipment and negotiating for pricing and services.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facility Planning, or related field preferred.

* Five plus years' experience in engineering and project management.

* Knowledge of the food/nut industry highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

* Ability to supervise projects and personnel.

* Ability to stand up to eight hours per day, manual dexterity, ability to lift 30 pounds, walk large facilities, and operate office equipment.

* Strong computer skills.
