Fabrication Supervisor

We're growing considerably and looking to bring on a Fabrication Supervisor to chiefly oversee the fabrication process. The ideal candidate will be a skilled welder, highly organized, an effective communicator both verbally and written, and comfortable working both behind the desk and on the floor. Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication department, including managing employees, ensuring quality and meeting production standards.
* Utilize tools such as cutting touches, plasma cutters and welding machines ensuring product quality meets company weld standards on all jobs.
* Responsible to ensure hours are logged to proper job and report weekly for payroll.
* Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff, setting performance standards.
* Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and quality, reduce cost, decrease scrap and product rework. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
* Ensure adequate capacity for current production needs and support analysis to ensure future capacity.
* This includes ensuring adequate cross training so that multiple people can operate critical equipment thereby reducing downtime.
* Plan and schedule equipment to optimize manpower.
* Order materials and ensure inventory is sufficiently stocked.
* Implement, document, and manage manufacturing equipment logs and standard operating procedure practices.
* Ensure the timely reporting and resolution of production build issues with engineering.
* Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and engineered fabrication drawings.
* Ensure compliance with ASME and CWB regulations according to Quality Manual Standards and Blueprints through the use of documentation, maintenance and development.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Three (3) + years of experience managing others.
* Five (5) + years prior welding, sheet metal forming, or fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to set-up and operate all types of welding equipment (TIG, MIG and Arc and Stick).
* AWS Certification preferred.
* Ability to set-up and operate all phases of brazing operations.
* Knowledge of CNC bender programming a plus
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word Suite, Outlook
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and engineered fabrication drawings.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Salary: $90,000- $105,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE)
Schedule: 7:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday
