Job Title Optical Technician 1 - 10:00 PM 6:30 AM, Sunday ThursdayDepartment Precision FabricationH iring Mgr. Mark StessmanJob Description:* Fabricate crystal rods per specification and production schedule* All aspects of fabrication including polishing, cleaning, and inspecting crystal substrates* Follow technical work instructions and understand engineering blueprints* Enter data via process sheets and/or a computer data system* Maintain equipment and tooling, as well as maintain a clean organized work area* Must maintain quality, health, and safety throughout the production cellJob Specifications:* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or two-year technical degree is preferred* Ability to work with small parts manual dexterity is required for handling laser rods, slabs, and other precision optics/parts* Experience with a microscope and hand-held measuring devices is preferred* Basic math skills are required* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required* Good verbal and written communication skills are required* Good visual acuity* Shift Flexible is preferred* 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing and/or fabrication preferred.* Regular, consistent attendance is requiredHazardous Materials:* Acetone, Xylene, Dynasolve, Methanol
