Komatsu supports a myriad of markets, including housing, infrastructure, water, pipeline, minerals, automobile, aerospace, electronics and medical, through its many brands and subsidiaries, includingTimberPro, Joy, PandH, Montabert, Modular Mining Systems, Hensley Industries, NTC, and Gigaphoton.Job OverviewRebuilds and refurbishes frames, housings and similar structures by forming, straightening and reshaping existing steel sub-components and / or removal and replacement of details worn or damaged beyond reuseManufactures new frames, housings and similar structural sub-components using new parts and materialsUtilizes torches, MIG, TIG, Carbon-Arc, Gas Shielded Arc, and other gas welding equipment in conjunction with knowledge and experience in welding techniques and metal characteristics to perform job duties.Perform casual mechanical assembly on machine rebuilds (basic tasks not requiring specialized mechanical training or technical expertise).Operate overhead and jib cranes, fork trucks and powered hand tools.Operate Iron Worker, brake press and various sized positioners.Operate Boretech welding machine and fixtures.Qualifications/RequirementsAbility to pass a structural welding test in flat and vertical processes. Welding Certification. AWS or equal Certification.2 - 4 years structural welding experience in heavy equipment manufacturing and / or remanufacturing environment.Read, understand, repair and manufacture steel structures using blueprints, drawings and other OEM or customer specifications and diagrams.Read and correctly interpret standard AWS as well as universal welding symbols.Familiar with basic functions and operations of parts positioning machines.Komatsu is an Equal Opportunity Workplace and an Affirmative Action Employer.
