Insight Global is seeking a Fab Welder to join a global manufacturer of mining products located in Homer City, PA. This position requires the ability to run a Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) machine to weld heavy machinery. This person must have a basic understanding of metal properties and be able to set up and efficiently operate a wide range of welding craft equipment. Interpret blueprints, customer provided sketches and drawings and apply this knowledge to the product.Day to Day:-Interpret blueprints to determine necessary repairs to be made. Uses necessary equipment to affect repairs.-Cuts material from stock.-Uses cutting torch or hand plasma to remove defective parts from main assembly.-Examines work piece to verify conformance to specifications.-Uses grinder to clean welds.-When required, uses tow motor or hoist to move or position work piece.-Plans layout of weldments based on prints, sketches, etc.-Positions and aligns parts utilizing hand tools, etc.-Welds parts utilizing a variety of welding processes per drawing or print.-Inspects work to ensure specifications and dimensions are correct.-Assembles final products and assists with the compatibility process.-Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping assignments.-Records labor and verifies quality with proper documents.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
