Job Description:
The Fabricator II, role is responsible for the assembly and fabrication of PFA and PVDF plastic assemblies used in the manufacturing process. We are looking for two shifts 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. (includes 10% shift differential pay) Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Plastic welding, repair & fabrication welding of rigid thermoplasticsUse of conventional lathes on rigid thermoplasticsOperate basic shop equipment and machinerySelect the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work and/or fabricationGeneral plastic shop fabrication, welding, cutting, sanding, assembly, and installation.Work as a part of a team to assemble components of a systemRead and interpret mechanical drawingsUse measuring devices accuratelyIdentify and weld different plasticsMaintain a safe and clean work environment in a 5S work systemConserve resources by using equipment and supplies correctlyAlways adheres to KESG's standards of safety and qualityDocument safety and quality actions and observations when requiredOther duties may be assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to learn quickly, retain information, and reapply new skillsAbility to troubleshoot problems as they ariseAbility to clarify priorities with lead or supervisorStrong attention to detail and time management skillsBasic math skillsAbility to deal with changing priorities dailyAbility to work closely with a team of other assemblersSelf-starter with the ability to work well in team environments as well as independentlyStrong verbal, written and effective communication in English Computer Software and Application Skills: MS Office 365 Education/Experience/Certifications: High school diploma/GED required 3-5+ years' experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, or ability to quickly learn3-5+ years' experience assembling and/or fabricating plastic parts3-5+ years' experience adhering to Safety and Quality demands while working in a production facility 3-5+ years' experience welding with plastic materials3-5+ years' experience working in a shop environment (i.e. working with hand and power tools)Woodworking skills preferred but not required Physical Job Requirements: The ability to stand up for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift 30lbsMay be asked to work overtime, including some evenings and weekends.
