Responsibilities:
- Metalwork: Craft steel edging with precision, using welding techniques on site, that meet exact specifications and are free from defects.
- Fence Fabrication: Construct fences from a variety of materials including wood and metal, ensuring they are sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with design plans.
- Masonry: Build and repair patios, stone paths, and stone edging.
- Gate, Deck, and Retaining Wall Construction: Proficiently build and repair gates, fences, decks, and retaining walls from a drawing or plan. Diagnose issues and restore them to their original condition, maintaining safety, function, and appearance.
- Landscaping: Ability to contribute to landscaping projects (as needed) including: the laying of gravel beds, sod, and tree & shrub planting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Landscaping experience
- Basic carpentry skills
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Welding experience (preferred)
- The ability to communicate in English is preferred but not required
- Independent worker
- Clean NYS Driver's License
- Eagerness to learn and problem-solve
- Hands-on mentality
- Mechanical curiosity
- Excellent communication skills- both oral and written
- The ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a high-energy environment
- Confidence, enthusiasm, respect, and a positive attitude
