Job Description:
Job Title: Metals - Bare Metals Pre-drill OperatorReports To: Supervisor of Metals Department Position Summary: The Bare Metals Pre-drill Operator is responsible for drilling screw holes to pattern and building shelf dividers. Additional responsibilities include drilling rub rails, fenderettes, door pins, door panels, stone guards, and rear kick plates. The role also involves training employees, assisting other team members, and adhering to the production schedule while ensuring the highest quality standards. This position requires regular interaction with internal and external customers and is an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle team. Responsibilities:
  • Operate and/or learn to operate plasma cutters, shears, notchers, saws, drills, and presses
  • Follow blueprints and work orders to drill holes and build parts accurately
  • Troubleshoot problems, make decisions, and ensure product quality
  • Inspect finished products during manufacturing and apply quality assurance techniques
  • Meet or exceed cost reduction goals
  • Work closely with the Engineering team and parts department
  • Assist other production personnel and help train new employees
  • Maintain accurate records and meet production deadlines
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Working Hour Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Flexibility required for early or late shifts as needed. Position Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure
Experience:
  • Previous mechanical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Life Line products is a plus
Education:
  • High school diploma or technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, and move objects
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Use of senses such as sight, touch, sound, and smell is required

  • Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor elements
