Job Description: Summary: Using layout drawings, prints, sketches, etc., must be able to fabricate within acceptable quality standards, various types of sheet metal products using machines such as CNC press brake, shears, ironworker, band saw, presses, rolls, etc. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Perform complex set-ups on CNC brake, tube shear, iron worker, saw punch press, sheet & plate shear, drill press, and marvel saw. 2. Have preliminary knowledge to set-up and run flanger and disher. 3. Program CNC machines. 4. Make and modify short run dies. 5. Demonstrate ingenuity in machine and tool utilization. 6. Use all types of measuring and inspection devices. 7. Determine if parts made are within given tolerance. 8. Anticipate manufacturing problems. 9. Provide guidance and training to others in coordinating flow of work. 10. Assist supervisors and co-workers as required. 11. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
