Title: Metals - Cutting and Fabrication Reports To: Supervisor of Metals Department The Metals - Cutting and Fabrication position is responsible for cutting and fabricating parts for vehicle components. Primary duties include using shear, brake press, and plasma cutter to shape parts, cutting heat shield parts, and training team members as needed. This role also involves assisting other department employees to ensure quality and adherence to production schedules. Frequent interaction with internal and external customers is required as an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team. Responsibilities:
- Operate or learn to operate welder, plasma cutter, shear, notcher, saws, drills, and presses.
- Cut, shape, and fabricate materials, including diamond tread and heat shield parts.
- Apply problem-solving skills and make informed decisions to maintain product quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to meet specifications.
- Inspect products during manufacturing, applying quality assurance techniques.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Parts Departments on product specifications and materials.
- Meet or exceed cost reduction and production schedule goals.
- Maintain organized workspace, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support production.
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 6 am - 3:30 pm Friday: 6 am - 10 am Flexibility required for early or extended hours on occasion. Position Requirements:

- CNC or welding experience is not required but is helpful.
Experience:
- Previous mechanical and welding experience preferred; knowledge of Life Line products is a plus.
Education:
- High school diploma or technical training in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, and carry.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
- Visual abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to use senses of sight, touch, sound, and smell as required by the job.
