Responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day office operations, scheduling facility/park maintenance, weekly/monthly reporting of operations and support staff where needed. This position reports to the Director of Parks & Facility Management. Examples of Duties Provides assistance and support to the Administrative Coordinator with the following, as needed and as available:
- Perform Planning and Scheduling for Parks & Facility Management
- Provide outstanding customer service in person and by phone
- Answering phone calls and other correspondence
- Assist with opening and closing the Parks & Facility Management Office
- Prepping reserved venues for events
- Assisting customers as needed
- Revenue Collection and Deposit recording.
- Provide customer support for Beach Pass, Boat Launch, Pier Access and Pavilion Rentals.
- Provide office support for the campground as needed
- Process p-card purchases
- Utilize Computer Programs for Online Reservations
- assist staff with day-to-day inquiries about parks, facilities, boat ramps, campground and maintenance.
Typical Qualifications Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and machines. - Knowledge of spelling, punctuation and business English, business mathematics.- Knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).- Ability to gain knowledge of Florida's Open Government Laws (Sunshine, Public Records, Ethics).- Ability to gain knowledge of county park, boat ramp, campground and facility rules- Ability to gain knowledge of the units' policies, procedures and practices.- Ability to effectively work with employees and the public.- Ability to access input and retrieve information from a computer.- Ability to communicate using writing, speaking, hearing and visual skills.- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.- Ability to interpret and handle routine matters in accordance with department policies- Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
