Job Description:

Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to serve as a key leader in creating, managing, and enforcing the effective functioning of a multi-building campus. This pivotal role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including environmental, health and safety management, facility maintenance, and machine maintenance to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing facility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEnvironmental, Health and Safety (EHS):Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.Coordinate and track employee training programs on safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Report all incidents to human resources to determine Workers Compensation and effective OSHA reporting.Manage the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective gear.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Lead the company s Safety Committee. Liaise with HR regarding Active Shooter response training.Maintain records and documentation related to environmental permits, safety inspections, training, and incident reports.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and oversee permit applications and renewals.Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.Facilities Management:Oversee the maintenance and operation of the facilities, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and grounds.Develop and implement facility maintenance plans and preventive maintenance schedules.Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades to ensure the integrity and functionality of facility infrastructure.Manage facility-related contracts, vendors, and service providers.Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.Develop and manage budgets for facility maintenance and capital improvement/equipment projects.Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency and sustainability through process optimization and technology upgrades.Machine Maintenance:Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery and equipment.Coordinate routine inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to support maintenance activities.Ability to use TPM techniques.Train maintenance staff on proper equipment maintenance procedures and safety protocols.Any other job-related tasks/projects as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESPersonnel needs identification, hiring and termination recommendations, leadership, coaching/training, performance management, task assignment, policy dissemination, disciplinary action/documentation to personnel files, job description updates, etc.Establish department goals, plan, and achieve department activities & objectives, analyze variances-initiate corrective actions, problem resolution, propose/support/implement new & improved approaches/methods, etc.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, facilities management, Industrial Safety Management, or a related fieldTen (10) years of professional industry experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting;
