Facilities and Maintenance Technician
Second Shift - Evans
Job Summary:
The Facilities & Maintenance technician will perform multi-craft preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on various types of complex mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on plant production equipment to reduce downtime and repair costs.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical equipment, including components such as chain drives, belts, bearings, motors, pulleys, shafts, gearboxes, etc.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace pneumatic components such as air cylinders, diverters, hoses, regulators, pumps, valves, etc.
* Inspect, repair, replace, and install electronic components such as sensors, actuators, controllers, light curtains, switches, etc. Electrical equipment includes but is not limited to motors, controls, electrical panels, conveyor systems, and alarm systems, from 120-480 volts. Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, Soft Starts, low-voltage DC Power Supplies, and VFDs.
* Perform or assist with routine and preventative maintenance on our facilities and support services such as, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, hydraulics, pneumatics, building infrastructure, and HVAC systems.
* Collaborate with our production teams and the Environmental, Health, and Safety teams to resolve/prevent potential safety hazards.
* Maintains accurate electronic CMMS database of repair and maintenance activities, including parts usage and time tracking.
* Works as part of a team and assists fellow employees as needed.
* Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant Maintenance or technical background in a similar role.
* Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
* Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Candidates must have operational PLC, mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and some robotics experience and skills. (Hydraulics and robotics a plus.)
* Previous and recent experience performing preventative maintenance, testing electrical components, and troubleshooting are necessary.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
* Experience working with a CMMS work order system
