JOB DESCRIPTION:Founded in 2021, Lexington Sporting Club is a soccer club that is a community-oriented organization focused on providing opportunities for youth development, fostering competition, and delivering exceptional professional soccer experiences. Lexington SC includes a professional men's team that is currently competing in USL League One and making the jump to USL Championship League in 2025. Lexington SC also launched a professional women's team in 2024 that competes in USL Super League. In addition to the professional teams, Lexington SC is comprised of a youth club with over 1,000 players, a pre-professional women's team in the USL W League, two indoor soccer facilities, a $20 million youth soccer complex, and a brand-new state-of-the-art soccer-specific stadium that opened on September 8, 2024.Department: Lexington Sporting Club Facilities OperationsContractual Status: Full-time.Reporting to: CEOJob Summary: Lexington Sporting Club seeks an exceptional leader as our Facilities and Operations Director, who will oversee all Club facilities and will provide a shared, leading-edge vision for the stadium site. This is a critical role within the organization, as this person will oversee event operations as well as daily operations, including engineering, maintenance, security, set-up/tear-down, custodial/housekeeping and groundskeeping.This person will provide overall administrative planning, direction, and policies to facility staff, assuring the highest quality service for all programs and events. This person will also ensure an effective, high quality and cost-efficient outcome for all events and overall club operations. The Facilities Director will report to the CEO and work closely to drive business revenues as well as provide the necessary resources to ensure the success of the Sporting Department. The successful candidate will also be expected to play an active role in the facility development process, including but not limited to design input, information technology and fan experience.This is a full-time, exempt position with competitive benefits and paid time off. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends for home matches and other events, as needed. Roles & Responsibilities:Ensure that the strategic vision for the club facility operation is defined, developed, and executed, including major parts of the organization's P&L such as development of non-core revenue streams (e.g., concerts, college lacrosse, international soccer, facility rentals, etc.).Manage departmental staff and ensure the organizational structure of the facilities are sound and reporting/line-item responsibilities of staff are appropriate.Oversee and ensure budgets remain in line with the Club's strategic plan.Inspect and monitor all programs, services, staff, and facilities on a regular basis to evaluate quality and efficiency of operations and systems and compliance with operational standards.Manage and coordinate daily operations of the stadium, youth complex and indoor facilities, including engineering, maintenance, security, set-up/tear-down, custodial/housekeeping and groundskeeping.Maintain financial records, including revenue and fees generated by programs, program operational costs, facility revenue and expense schedules, budget projections, and analyses.Spearhead all capital improvement projects.Review all services for optimization, considering internal and third-party options for all divisions of facility operations.Ensure patron experience is a primary focus and stays ahead of trends to achieve continuous improvement.Collect and distribute consumer research and feedback initiatives with other departments.Negotiate, administer and manage contracts with outside vendors and labor groups.Communicate with appropriate departments and staff relative to a master schedule for all stadium events.Collaborate with HR on the development of staff, including hiring, training, coaching and ensuring compliance with labor & safety regulations.Serve as liaison with local officials on facility-related functions (city/county codes, parking, transportation, security, police, fire, licenses, permitting, etc.).Responsible for the overall health & safety compliance of the facility in accordance with all OSHA regulations.Other duties and special projects as assigned.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
