Headquartered in Downtown Houston, the Golden Pass LNG organization expects to double in size over the next several years as we complete the project, commence natural gas trading activities, and ramp up towards full LNG production. Once full operations commence, Golden Pass LNG will become the second largest consumer of natural gas in the US and produce more than 200 cargos of LNG per annum.
Job Summary / Purpose
Facilities and Process Engineering Support
* Support the development and progression of the Operations Readiness (OR) schedule to transition the facility from EPC to the operations phase.
* Facility Surveillance: develop / optimize surveillance plans and execute engineering monitoring activities (process simulations, downtime analysis, process bad actors, bottleneck identification/remediation, and issue identification) to support Operations in ensuring maximum facility availability. This will include using sound engineering judgment to analyze the performance of field equipment including piping systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, dehydration units and processing equipment.
* Develop recommendations to management for initiatives or projects to optimize production, improve reliability, reduce costs and/or prevent future problems.
* Support SHE and Regulatory compliance functions through conducting process calculations (flare volumes, etc.) as required.
* Support Operations, Maintenance, and Projects in ensuring facility modifications and adjustments comply with all applicable regulatory, industry, and company codes / specification.
* Support project development/design, documentation, procedure development and training related to projects, temporary or new modes of operation, and compliance.
* Assure that the design of equipment used in the facility is in accordance with good engineering practices, applicable industry codes / standards and consistent with the company's business needs.
* Participate in regulatory agency audits.
* Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) utilizing What-if and Hazard and Operability Review (HAZOP) methodologies.
* Reinforce safety and environmental awareness through frequent job observations and by interfacing with plant personnel.
* Interact with and support Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments as required.
Production Engineering Responsibilities
* Support the maintenance of facility production capacity curves, tactical monitoring tools specific to all sections of the LNG facility.
* Support the maintenance of a facility loss accounting tool.
* Support the LNG loading volume and energy validation process, during the LNG loading activities in coordination with the independent Surveyor and review the preliminary and final Surveyor's Report after loading operations are completed.
* Assist the Measurement team with performing Daily Facility energy / mass balance and maintaining and optimizing the Facility energy / mass balance tool.
MOC Coordinator Responsibilities
* Assist in training of the Company Records Management Program for Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering functions.
* Coordinate key functions engagement in review of changes and steward the closeout of action items and MOCs.
* Provide technical drafting and writing support for documentation and drawings as required by the Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Maintenance activities such as drawing updates and redlines, procedural updates, execution plan, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
* Bachelor's Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
Minimum experience required of the position
* Expect 4-10 years of experience working as a Process Engineer and/or Production Engineer in Oil & Gas, ideally with LNG experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
* Strong understanding of the cryogenic natural gas processing, with preference in LNG, however NGL or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct work in an efficient and timely manner.
* Strong process simulation and hydraulic modeling skills - HYSYS, Aspen Plus, ProMax, Pipeline Studio, etc. (or similar)
* Able to identify applicable industry and regulatory codes, interpret them, and apply them to operations, projects, and engineering analysis.
* Understanding the principles of fluid flow, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and hydrocarbon process chemistry. Familiar with the hazards of hydrocarbon processes and the methods used to keep process facilities safe.
* Major Facility Turnaround Planning & Support Experience.
* Strong computer skills, including MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated/focused on achieving business results.
* Ability to collaborate and work well with diverse and multidisciplinary teams with strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and influence without authority, such as with action/improvement scoping, scheduling, and execution.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
* State issued Current and Valid Driver's License
* Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent CEng license is preferred
