As a Facilities and Resource Assistant within the HOPE Center at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities Under general supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule
  • Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
  • Interact with clients professionally at all times
  • Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
  • Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
  • Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
  • Able to lift 25+ pounds
  • In charge of Emergency Preparedness exercises.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university;orOne (1) year of experience in a customer service setting communicating information;orOne (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Experience in transportation driving
  • Communicate effectively with our client and staff, both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrate in your daily work environment the knowledge of HIPPA
  • Ability to work dependently and collaborate with others
