This position is located at:27555 Farmington Rd Ste 110, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48334SUMMARYAt Great Lakes Ace, the Facilities Assistant supports our goal of maintaining Great Lakes Ace facilities in a way that creates a safe and pleasant environment for both our team and our customers. This position is a key liaison between store leadership and the Director of Operations Support and must strongly represent Great Lakes Ace vision, mission and core values. This individual is focused on identifying opportunities to make our facilities and equipment better, communicating those opportunities and then executing agreed upon solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned as needed):Respond to facilities and equipment related support tickets from the store teams in a manner that is above and beyond expectations. Obtain vendor quotes, schedule repairs and follow up to ensure completion.Assist with the coordination of facilities work related to remodels, acquisitions or new locations.Assemble data, analyze and recommend solutions related to safety/facility audits, vendor invoicing, vendor quotes, etc.Maintain accurate records of all work associated with repairs and maintenance of GLA facilities, equipment and alarm systems.Assist with the management of facilities related systems and equipment including but not limited to team member alarm codes, the GLA vehicle fleet, the GLA forklift fleet, etc.Communicate with store teams, Landlords, Property Managers, Contractors, and Vendors in a manner that leads to timely solutions and long term relationships (Love My GLA!)RELATIONSHIPS Maintain open lines of communication with all store associates and management, the Support Center team, vendors, suppliers, etc.TECHNOLOGYUse of computer keyboard, mouse, Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Drive (cloud), Ace Net, Epicor, Facilities Management Software, Human Capital Management (HCM) Software and email.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
