Facilities Assistant
This employee will promote the mission of Whole Family Health Center (WFHC) to provide support to ensure facilities services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.
Communication
This position requires good oral and written communication skills. Information must be exchanged using tact and persuasion appropriately. The person in this position must be able to communicate with the patients, staff, and others; and contribute to a positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the mission, vision, and values of WFHC.
* Performs cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout assigned property.
* Performs light repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures, unclogging drains and/or toilets, repair and touch up paint, adjust doors (when needed), etc.
* Walks the properties and performs light grounds maintenance such as debris removal and assures outdoor areas are kept neat and presentable, reports problems to Facilities & Clinical Support Coordinator or other appropriate staff.
* Ensures heating and cooling systems are operational.
* Ensures that cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
* Modifies scope of cleaning and maintenance based on specified needs of the assigned facility or location.
* Must have a reliable vehicle to carry tools, paint and all other supplies needed to perform duties at all work locations.
* Must be flexible with shift changes and willing to cover weekend work when needed; this may include working for and with other departments when asked.
* This position is responsible for performing other related business/job duties as assigned.
Licenses & Certifications
* High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
* 1-2 Years of previous facilities or office support experience is highly preferred.
* Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
* Punctual without direct supervision.
* Meticulous and thorough.
* Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
* Ability to keep the property clean and orderly.
* Good people skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, customers, clients, and visitors to the property.
Physical Requirements
* Level 2 background clearance required.
* Proof of immunizations for, (2) MMR's, HEP B vaccination, and either a history of chicken pox (varicella), or documentation of the varicella vaccine. Once hired, a PPD Test will be completed.
* Prolonged periods standing.
* Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift to fifty pounds at a time.
