Job Description:

Company Description: NAMI San Diego & Imperial Counties (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides free education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental illnesses.

Primary Responsibilities/Function: Assist the Director of Facilities with maintenance, repairs and the safety of company operated facilities primarily in San Diego County. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities oversee the implementation of the company vehicles maintenance schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform general repairs.

* Minor plumbing.

* Drywall repair.

* Minor landscaping.

* Minor appliance maintenance.

* Perform routine maintenance as needed.

* Assist Facilities Director with supply ordering.

* Follow OSHA and NAMI SD/IC safety rules and precautions.

* Identify issues and address as needed to prevent worsening.

* Work with Facilities Director to communicate with vendors and contractors, as needed,

* Work with Facilities Director to maintain up-to-date safety and maintenance of company vehicles:

* Oil changes.

* Tire rotation.

* Flat tire repair; tire changes.

* Vehicle recalls.

* Monitor vehicle safety and driver records.

* All other safety and maintenance requirements.

* Other duties as assigned.

Accountability: Reports to Director of Facilities.

* Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Minimum Requirements, including linguistic and cultural skills, education, experiences, licenses and certifications:

* Must have a satisfactory driving record.

* Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

* Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) and web navigation.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Reliable and consistent attendance.
