Title: Facilities AssociateClassification: Non-exemptReports to: Facilities ManagerDepartment: FacilitiesPosition Summary: A Facilities Associate at Idaho Steel Products, Inc. performs a variety of projects and tasks inside and outside of the shop and office. They must be able to unload trucks from suppliers and customers and palletize and load equipment to be shipped out. They must prioritize and organize the maintenance and quality appearance of the shop, offices, and outside property at Idaho Steel. The person will be asked to assist in special projects including building changes and equipment install projects and will perform a variety of tasks to support all other groups in the company. They may be asked to perform deliveries to customers or run other errands as directed by the Facilities Manager. They are required to work well with others. - Keep the shop and yard clean, clear of clutter, and walkways clear.
- After being trained and qualified on equipment, use fork-lifts and cranes for material handling and loading and unloading of trucks.
- Assist with special projects as needed including upgrades and changes to all physical elements of Idaho Steel as well as assistance on equipment installation projects.
- Ability to work well with other employees and the public.
- Understand and follow the safety policies of the shop.
- Have and retain a current driver's license and good driving skills.
- Safely deliver parts to customers and other errands as directed.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and be on feet for most of the day.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs regularly.
- Must have flexibility, dexterity, and good balance.
- Must have the ability to adjust to working in hot, cold, or inclement weather.
