Overview of Position: The Facilities Cleaning department is responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, disinfection, and routine maintenance of the ski lodge and surrounding locations. Providing clean and sanitary conditions for coworkers and guests is our top priority. While Facilities Cleaning staff is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the lodge and its outlets, there is a high degree of guest contact and staff is expected to interact with our guests in a helpful and friendly manner. Must be highly motivated to ensure your assigned work areas are properly maintained.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Overall day-to-day cleaning, routine maintenance, and special event duties.
+ Clean bathrooms, hallways, offices, stairwells, storage room, locker rooms, dining rooms, fitness center, and other assigned areas according to WMC standards.
+ Maintain a sense of urgency to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
+ Participate in regular walkthroughs to ensure all resort areas are maintained properly.
+ Maintain properly stocked dispensers and storage closets.
+ Must develop a strong sense of operations and locations operated by the mountain.
+ Remain available to team members via radio.
+ Remove garbage from trash receptacles inside and outside the lodge.
+ Cooperate with other WMC departments in maintenance efforts.
+ Follow all proper timecard protocols: clocking in, clocking out, breaks, etc.
+ Resolve minor conflicts as they occur; escalate major conflicts to supervisor/security as needed.
+ Maintain a positive attitude, especially during stressful situations.
+ Assist in the maintenance of department equipment.
+ Responsible for greeting and dispensing information to all guests. This involves approaching guest, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.
+ Follow common ergonomic and safety practices to prevent injuries.
Job Qualifications:
+ Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds.
+ Must be punctual.
+ Willing to adapt to changes and learn new skills.
+ Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
+ Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy, and crowded situation.
+ Must be able to stand for the entire work shift.
+ Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a premier product and guest experience. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You may also be required to work both morning and evening shifts. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods. **All current openings are for seasonal staff, both full-time and part-time.
