Job Title: Facilities Construction LaborerLocation: Williamsport, PADepartment: ConstructionReports To: Site SupervisorJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Facilities Construction Laborer to assist in the construction, assembly, and installation of industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities construction, including bolting up buildings, plumbing pipe, rigging, and performing civil work. This position requires comfort working at heights using a man lift, as well as a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly and installation of industrial buildings, including bolting up steel structures, walls, and roofing components.
- Perform piping and plumbing work, including the installation and adjustment of pipes, valves, and related components.
- Execute rigging tasks for moving, positioning, and securing large equipment and structural components safely and efficiently.
- Perform civil construction work, including excavation, foundation preparation, trenching, and concrete pouring.
- Safely operate and work from man lifts and aerial baskets at varying heights, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment to and from work areas.
- Work alongside crew members to complete construction tasks on schedule and according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to company safety standards at all times.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment.
- Follow the directions of the foreman or supervisor in the completion of daily tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities construction, including bolting up buildings, plumbing pipe, rigging, and civil work.
- Comfortable and experienced working at heights from man lifts and aerial baskets.
- Knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and building materials.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations, especially in rigging and civil construction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certifications in aerial lift, rigging, or man lift operation (preferred but not required).
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in outdoor construction environments, often in varying weather conditions.
- The role requires the ability to work from heights and handle physical labor tasks.
- May involve travel to various job sites.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and engage in physical labor.
- Must be able to climb, stoop, and work at heights.
