About the Role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for assisting VerdeGo Aero colleagues with administrative and technical aspects of inventory, logistics purchasing, and shipping and receiving functions. The position will also assist the Director of Operations with receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers, vendors, or manufacturers, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so equipment, parts, materials and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective, efficient manner. This position will help reach deadlines by assuming responsibility of inventory logistics, establishing par stock items, organization and distribution of materials / supplies in close coordination with staff. This position will be vital in the business and operational support to the VerdeGo Aero team at the Daytona Beach, FL facility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point person for employee and company purchasing, shipping and receiving functions. This includes coordination of all incoming shipments as well as products being shipped out of the production facility.
  • Assist in handling day-to-day operational support in conjunction with Embry-Riddle regarding maintenance and repair issues. This includes all issues and concerns that arise from day-to-day operations where immediate and future needs are required by VerdeGo Aero.
  • Assist in coordinating safety briefings and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and correcting all unsafe conditions and practices and communicate actions to supervisor and/or owners.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Clerical and technical work for inventory and receiving, such as: Bar Coding, copying, scanning, data entry, uploading and downloading data.
  • Maintaining operations office equipment and stocking of supplies.
  • Understanding of documentation such as packing lists, bill of lading, purchase orders and shipping orders using computer-based technology.
  • Assist with dispatching freight for delivery and arranging for pickups.
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges and damages.
  • Preparing letters, presentations & reports related to inventory and receiving functions.
  • Scanning, printing and plotting of technical drawings and as-builts as well as delivery of products.
  • Capable of sorting and organizing par stock levels for supplies and materials.
  • Communication Proficient and Teamwork Oriented.
  • Experienced utilizing material handling equipment (dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts)
  • Clerical duties as assigned, assisting with company gatherings and function set ups.

Qualifications

Associates Degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Demonstrates a highly professional and cooperative demeanor with supervisors and co- workers. Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to give, deny or ask for information in a tactful and friendly manner and discretion in giving information about plans and/or action to anyone is required. A strong attention to detail is required. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team of Office and Engineering personnel. Flexibility to adjust and contribute to continually evolving work situation and changing priorities. Excellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on-time and on- budget. Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues. Other duties as required.

Physical demands

Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally. Work in an office setting as well as a Manufacturing Hangar environment.
